SHERIFF'S OFFICE REGISTERS ANOTHER SEX OFFENDER

The Sheriff's Office is notifying the public that a new sex offender has registered with the Sheriff's Office after moving into this jurisdiction.

 

NAME:                       CODY THOMPSON

 

DATE OF BIRTH:   06/29/1983     

 

HOME ADDRESS:   3506 Hwy 201 N, Lot #15
                                    Mountain Home, AR 72653                                      

 

     The offender was arrested on 05/12/2003 in Polk County, Florida for the felony offenses of Sexual Assault upon a child victim under 12 years of age and Child Fondling.  He was subsequently convicted on 04/06/2004 in Polk County of an amended charge of Attempted Sexual Assault and Child Fondling.  The offender was also convicted on 07/11/2011 in Gordon County, Georgia of Failure to Register as a sex offender.  He was again convicted on 08/30/2013 for Failure to Register, this time in Floyd County, Georgia.

 

     This offender has not yet been assigned a Risk Level by SOCNA (Sex Offender Community Notification Assessment).

 

          This person is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.  This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.  This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass Registered Sex Offenders.  Citizen abuse will not be tolerated.  Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement's ability to do community notification.
