SEX OFFENDER REGISTERS AFTER MOVING FROM INSIDE MOUNTAIN HOME CITY

     The Sheriff's Office is notifying the public that a sex offender has registered with the Sheriff's Office after moving into the county from inside Mountain Home city.  He is a level 3 offender (high risk to re-offend).

 

NAME:                       DOUGLAS WAYNE BEAN

 

DATE OF BIRTH:   09/24/1961

 

HOME ADDRESS:   621 E. Main St., Apt #112
                                    Gassville, AR 72635   

            

     The offender was convicted on February 6, 1997 in the State of Wisconsin of the offense of Child Enticement.  This involved the offender exposing himself to two juveniles for the purpose of enticement. The offender was convicted on April 9, 2004 in Baxter County for Failure to Register.  He was convicted on December 27, 2004 in Craighead County for Failure to Register.  He was again convicted for Failure to Register on May 5, 2011 in Rogers, Arkansas.  In addition, documentation indicates that he was arrested on September 17, 2010 for Failure to Register in Benton County and on September 30, 2013 for Failure to Register in Marion County, although there are no dispositions shown on either of those two arrests.       

 

     This person is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.  This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.  This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass Registered Sex Offenders.  Citizen abuse will not be tolerated.  Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement's ability to do community notification.
