SEX OFFENDER MOVES FROM GASSVILLE TO MIDWAY

     The Sheriff's Office is notifying the public that a sex offender who was previously registered with the Sheriff's Office as residing in Gassville has now moved to a new location.   He has been assessed as a Level 2 offender (moderate risk to re-offend with community notification justified).

NEW ADDRESS:  7092 Hwy 5 N, Lot 32
                           Midway, Arkansas 72653

            

     The offender was convicted of Statutory Rape in Barrow County, Georgia on 02/27/2009 and sentenced to 7 months confinement.  The offender was convicted in Cherokee County, Georgia on 01/07/2011 for Failure to Register as sex offender and was given probation.  On 01/06/2012 the offender was convicted in Dawson County, Georgia of another count of Failure to Register as sex offender and sentenced to six months confinement.  On 07/03/2013 the offender was once again convicted of Failure to Register as sex offender, this time in Lumpkin County, Georgia and was sentenced to two years confinement.  There is no specific information available on the details of the original statutory rape charge from 2009.

 

     This person is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.  This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.  This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass Registered Sex Offenders.  Citizen abuse will not be tolerated.  Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement's ability to do community notification.
