SEX OFFENDER RE-LOCATES FROM INSIDE MTN HOME CITY LIMITS TO RURAL AREA

     The Sheriff's Office is notifying the public that a registered sex offender (Level 3 - High Risk to re-offend) has moved from inside Mountain Home city limits to an address outside city limits.

 

NAME:                       SHAUN DAVID McCAGUE

 

DATE OF BIRTH:   08/26/1985

 

NEW ADDRESS:      229 CR 672 - Unit #1
                                    Mountain Home, AR 72653

 

     According to available documentation, the offender was convicted in the State of Illinois in 2001 of the crime of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault and received a sentence of 4 years imprisonment and 18 months probation.  This case involved a child victim.  He was also arrested in Illinois in 2004 for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, but the court disposition on that charge is not indicated.  Additionally, the offender was arrested in Illinois in 2013 and again in 2016 for Sex Offender Registration Violations, but again the court disposition on those two cases is not indicated.

 

     This person is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.  This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.  This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass Registered Sex Offenders.  Citizen abuse will not be tolerated.  Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement's ability to do community notification.
