     The Sheriff's Office is notifying the public that a new sex offender has registered with the Sheriff's Office after moving here from Sacramento County, California.

 

NAME:                       DANIEL SHARPE

 

DATE OF BIRTH:   11/30/1948

 

HOME ADDRESS:   2764 Hwy 101 N
                                    Gamaliel, Arkansas               

 

     The offender was convicted in Sacramento, California on 08/09/2001 of multiple counts of rape and lewd acts with underage child and sentence to a term of imprisonment for 22 years.  Available documentation does not provide any specifics about these crimes.

 

     This offender has not yet been assigned a community Risk Level by Arkansas SOCNA (Sex Offender Community Notification Assessment).

 

     This person is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.  This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.  This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass Registered Sex Offenders.  Citizen abuse will not be tolerated.  Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement's ability to do community notification.
