Sex Offender Arrested for Failure to Register

On June 18, 2025  a man came to the Sheriff's Office and stated he needed to register as a sex offender.  Deputy Tanner Anderson begin questioning the man about his current and previous address and determined that he had lived in Baxter County for several months and his previous registration in another county had been delinquent since 2017. 

Larry Dwayne Yancy, age 47 was arrested and charged with Failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements, a Class C Felony.  He was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond pending his appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court on July 7.
