Memorial Day Weekend Activity

The Baxter County Sheriff's Office had a busy but overall uneventful Memorial Day weekend. The Sheriff's Office logged:

98 calls for service which included 15 domestic violence calls.
Assisted the Arkansas State Police with 7 accidents
Issued 30 traffic warnings
Issued 14 traffic citations

21 people were booked in the Detention Center

              6 - for DWI (Driving or Boating While Intoxicated)
              2 - Driving on a suspended driver's license
              1 - Drug charges
              1 - for domestic violence
              1 - Battery 3rd degree
              1 - Violation of a no-contact court order
              2 - warrants of arrest
              3-  serve court ordered jail sentences

There was a hiker reported lost in the Barkshed Recreational area of the National Forest Saturday evening.  He was located mid-day on Sunday unharmed.
