Live Call in Show to Discuss Scammers and Their Tactics

Last week we issued a press release concerning the arrest of three "money mules"  that were arrested following a joint investigation by  concerning scammers that were targeting the elderly in our area.  Local law enforcement have seen an uptick in incidents were people have become victims of various types of scams.

In response to a rise in scams targeting Baxter County residents, KTLO and Heather Loftis will host Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery on Thursday morning, August 28, 2025 for a live call-in program to give the public an opportunity to ask questions and learn how to protect themselves and their friends and family.

The program will begin at 9:05 on KTLO FM 97.9 and will also be streamed at KTLO.com. Questions can be submitted during the live call in by calling 870-425-5522 or preceding the program by email at [email protected]

I encourage everyone to tune in. Submit any questions you have by email before the program, or call in live. Together we can bring awareness of the different types of scams and the tactics used by scammers.
