Arrest of Sex Offender Phillip Reeves

A Baxter County Sex Offender was arrested Tuesday, July 1st, for failing to comply with sex offender registration and reporting requirements.

Phillip Wade Reeves, 57 years old of rural Mountain Home, was interviewed by Deputy Tanner Anderson, who was conducting a routine compliance check on Reeves. During this compliance check, Deputy Anderson found that Reeves had provided the Sheriff's Office with false information regarding his employment. Reeves also failed to provide the Sheriff's Office with information concerning multiple social media accounts he had, such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. In addition, Reeves has been operating a motor vehicle that he had not registered with the Sheriff's Office for months.

Deputy Anderson reported that Reeves was uncooperative and evasive during the compliance check interview. Phillip Reeves was arrested and taken into custody. During his arrest, a drug pipe used to smoke methamphetamine was found in his possession.

Phillip Wade Reeves was taken to the Baxter County Detention Center and booked on charges of:

Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration and Reporting Requirements - Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Felony

Reeves is being held in lieu of $15,000 bond, and he is scheduled to appear before the Circuit Court to answer on July 7th.
