SEX OFFENDER FROM MISSOURI FAILS TO REPORT HE IS WORKING IN BAXTER COUNTY

A Level 2 sex offender who resides in Gainesville, Missouri but works in Baxter County, Arkansas has been arrested for violating the Arkansas Sex Offender Registry Act.

The offender is required to report and verify his employment status in Arkansas with the Baxter County Sheriff's Office every six (6) months, but has failed to do this. The offender was arrested this afternoon at his place of employment and taken to the Detention Center.

Danial D. Teconchuk, 39 years old of Gainesville, Missouri, is charged with:

Failure to Register as Sex Offender - Felony
Non-Payment of Fines - Misdemeanor Warrant

Teconchuck's bond was set at $15,000 on the felony charge and $910.00 on the misdemeanor warrant. He will appear in Circuit Court on January 21st.
