     The Sheriff's Office is notifying the public that a new sex offender has registered with the Sheriff's Office after moving out of Mountain Home city limits.

NAME:                       HEATHER CANNON

DATE OF BIRTH:   08/31/1988

HOME ADDRESS:   700 Summerhill Drive

                                    Gassville, AR 72635

     The offender was arrested on 12/08/2008 by the Greene County Sheriff's Office in Springfield, Missouri on a charge of Statutory Rape in the First Degree involving a person under 14 years of age.  The offender was adjudicated guilty of that charge on 09/21/2012 and sentenced to seven years confinement, which was suspended.  She was instead placed on probation.

     (This offender has not yet been assigned a Risk Level by SOCNA (Sex Offender Community Notification Assessment).

     This person is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.  This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.  This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass Registered Sex Offenders.  Citizen abuse will not be tolerated.  Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement's ability to do community notification.
