TRANSPORT DEPUTY SHERIFF:  **New Position**


The Baxter County Sheriff's Office is now accepting application for the position of Transport Deputy Sheriff. Applicants must hold current full time law enforcement officer certification from the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training (CLEST) or out of state equivalency. This positions works out of the Detention Center and reports to the Lieutenant - Jail Administrator.

This is a full time position that is responsible for all inmate movements and transports for court, appointments, extraditions on warrants, and any other transport needs, both in and out of state. A complete job description is available from the Sheriff's Administration Offices.

Base pay for the position is $16.75 per hour, but can be increased for previous experience. All county benefits are offered, including paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick time, health insurance, and participation in the Arkansas Public Employees Retirement System.

JAILER:


The Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications for the position of Jailer at the Detention Center. This is an entry level position that is responsible for all aspects of Detention Center operations.

This is a full time position for which the county offers paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick time, health insurance, and participation in the Arkansas Public Employees Retirement System.

Starting base rate of pay is $15.75 per hour, but can be increased based upon prior experience. Uniforms, equipment, and training are provided. A complete job description and application for employment can be obtained from the Sheriff's Administration Offices during normal office hours.


PART TIME INVESTIGATOR:


The Sheriff's Office now accepting applications for position of Part Time Investigator with the Criminal Investigation Division. Applicants must currently hold certification from the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training (CLEST) as either full time (preferable) or part time law enforcement officers. Prior experience is a plus.

The position will be for a maximum of 25 hours per week. The position is responsible for performing all duties and responsibilities generally and customarily associated with law enforcement investigations. Rate of pay is $16.00 per hour.
