APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED FOR PATROL DEPUTY - MUST BE FULLY CERTIFIED

     The Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff for the Patrol Division.  This is a full time position with all county benefits provided.  These include health, vision, and dental insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick time, and state retirement system.  Applicants must hold a current valid certification from the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training as a full time law enforcement officer.  Out of state equivalency may be considered.  There is a 90 day probationary period.  

     All duties and responsibilities generally and customarily associated with full service law enforcement agencies will be required.  A complete job description is available upon request.

     Starting pay for the position under Baxter County's wage scale will be $12.57 to $15.61 per hour, depending on prior experience.  Uniforms, equipment, and a home storage patrol vehicle are provided.
