GASSVILLE MAN ARRESTED DURING PROBATION HOME VISIT

     A Gassville man, 53 year old JAMES CORTNEY SNEDECOR, was arrested Wednesday afternoon, August 16th, after investigators from the Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections conducted a probation home visit at his residence at 6343 Hwy 62 West.

     During the course of the home visit, officers found approximately ½ gram of methamphetamine and various articles of drug paraphernalia including scales and smoking pipes.

   JAMES CORTNEY SNEDECOR was arrested and transported to the Baxter County Detention Center where he was booked on charges of:

Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver – Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts) – Felonies Probation Violation Hold for Other Agencies – Marion County Bench Warrant

     SNEDECOR is currently being held in custody on a $5,000 bond on the new charges but without bond for the probation violation.  He will appear in the Circuit Court to answer his new charges on September 14th. SNEDECOR has five previous bookings in the Baxter County Detention Center, including prior drug offenses.
