SHERIFF'S OFFICE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SECRETARY
The Baxter County Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications for the position of Secretary - Administration Division.
The Secretary - Administration Division performs all administrative, secretarial, and clerical duties generally and customarily associated with office positions in a professional office environment. These include, but are not limited to, receptionist duties, multi-line phone system, assisting citizens by phone and in person, accepting fine and bond payments, processing arrest warrants and civil process issued by the courts, handling traffic citations, warnings, incident reports, and accident reports.
The position will also be responsible for receipt and deposit procedures, bank statement reconciliations, and many other associated tasks.
Extensive use of computer is required. Proficiency with MS Word and Excel is a necessity, as is the ability to quickly learn and utilize various records management system software. Excellent communications skills are required. A complete job description is available upon request.
Starting wage for the position under established Baxter County wage scale will be $11.86 to $14.86 per hour, depending upon prior experience. Applications will be accepted through 4:30 PM on Friday, April 23, 2021.
