Sex Offender Arrested for Non-Compliance

On Tuesday, June 9, an officer with the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections notified the Sheriff's Office they had arrested an absconder who was a registered sex offender. A joint investigation revealed that the absconder, Philip Wilcoxon, a level 2 sex offender, was registered to live at an address in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Wilcoxon had been issued a 2-day travel pass to Mountain Home on May 29 but did not return home but was staying at the address on Partridge Place, east of Mountain Home.   Wilcoxon did not register with the Baxter County Sheriff's Office which is required by Arkansas Law.

Philip Ray Wilcoxon, age 44 who has 26 prior Baxter County jail bookings, is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on charges of:

Failure to Comply With Sex Offender Registration-     A Class D Felony

Parole Violation

Wilcoxon is being held on a bond of $15,000 for Baxter County and a NO-Bond hold for Parole Violation pending his appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court on June 25, 2020.
