Multiple charges are being filed against a Norfork man who was arrested Monday afternoon by Sheriff’s Investigators.  The investigators had gone to a house on Baxter CR 643 in an attempt to locate 32 year old JOSHUA DAVID DUNN, who is a parolee with a search wavier on file.

While at the residence, investigators observed that the electric meter loop located adjacent to the driveway of the residence had been bypassed.  A power cord was running from the residence to an outbuilding on an adjacent property approximately 50 feet away.  Contact was made with JOSHUA DUNN and searches commenced.  Investigators found various controlled substance prescription pills including alprazolam, diazepam, clonazepam, and oxycodone, as well as marijuana residue and various articles of drug paraphernalia.

As was reported yesterday, as investigators were searching this outbuilding they encountered DILLON DOUGLAS FIELDS, who fled on foot from them, which prompted a two hour manhunt during which FIELDS was apprehended.  It was apparent to investigators that persons from the residence where DUNN was located had been utilizing the outbuilding on the adjoining property due to evidence of pedestrian and vehicular traffic between the two locations.

During the search of a vehicle in the outbuilding, investigators found a Cobra .380 ACP handgun that had part of the serial number ground off, a small vial containing methamphetamine, a glass pipe containing methamphetamine residue, a flare gun loaded with a 12 gauge flare.  Also found inside the outbuilding was a loaded sawed off Remington 870 wingmaster 12 gauge shotgun with a pistol grip and the barrel cut down to 13.5 inches, as well as numerous other items believed to be stolen from various burglaries in the area.

JOSHUA DUNN was arrested and taken to the Detention Center where he is being held on charges of:

Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) with Purpose to Deliver – Felony
Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substances (3 counts) with Purpose to Deliver – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (3 counts) – Felonies
Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms – Felony
Theft of Services – Misdemeanor
Possession of Defaced Firearm – Felony
Criminal Use of Prohibited Weapon (sawed off shotgun) – Felony
Obstructing Governmental Operations – Misdemeanor
Habitual Offender – Penalty Enhancement

JOSHUA DUNN is being held in lieu of $20,000 bond on those charges and will appear in the Circuit Court to answer on May 30th.  He is also being held without bond on a parole violation.  DUNN has been booked into the Baxter County Detention Center 14 times since 2003.
