     The Sheriff’s Office is notifying the public that a Level 3 (High Risk to re-offend) sex offender has registered and is now residing in the Jordan area.

NAME:                       HANS HESS 

DATE OF BIRTH:   12/09/1971

ADDRESS:                70 Little Round Top Trail
                                    Jordan, Arkansas                                  

     The offender was convicted of two counts of Rape on 09/08/1997.  These offenses involved the offender engaging in ongoing sexual contact with a then 4 year old female relative by marriage who was visiting the home.  The offender told authorities at the time that he was sexually attracted to young girls around that age.

     This person is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.  This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.  This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass Registered Sex Offenders.  Citizen abuse will not be tolerated.  Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement’s ability to do community notification.
