Two people were arrested on drug charges Friday afternoon, January 5th, when officers with the Sheriff’s Office and Mountain Home Police went to 49 Voorheis Drive to conduct a probation home compliance check.  32 year old TIFFANIE CORTEZ-LYNN and 31 year old ZACHARY ROY BALES reside at that residence.  There is a search waiver on file for probationer CORTEZ-LYNN.

Officers conducted a search of the residence.  During a search of the residence and an outbuilding, officers found a small amount of methamphetamine, various articles of drug paraphernalia (syringes, pipes, scales), and $827 in cash.

TIFFANIE CORTEZ-LYNN and ZACHARY ROY BALES were both taken into custody and transported to the Detention Center where they were booked on charges of:

Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts) – Felonies

Bond for both was set at $25,000. BALES posted bond and was released. CORTEZ-LYNN remains in custody with a no bond probation hold.  Both of them will appear in Baxter County Circuit Court to answer on January 11th. BALES has had four bookings in the Baxter County Detention Center since 2017, and CORTEZ-LYNN has had eight bookings since 2006.
