The Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death that occurred at a residence near Lakeview on Sunday evening, July 9th.

     Sheriff’s dispatch received a call at approximately 7:09 PM reporting that a woman had fallen and was bleeding inside at home on Hickory Flats Rd.  Deputies and emergency medical personnel were sent to the address.  The woman, identified as 76 year old RITA KABELLA, was found to be deceased when emergency personnel arrived.  Her husband was at the residence with her.

     The cause of death was not immediately apparently.  The Baxter County Coroner’s Office was called to take possession of the decedent, and the body is being sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock to determine cause and manner of death.  The case remains open awaiting autopsy results and further investigation.
