MAN ARRESTED ON FELONY BATTERY CHARGE FROM DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CALL

     Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance Thursday afternoon, June 29th, on Baxter CR 28 near Mountain Home and arrested a man living there on a felony battery charge.

     The disturbance was reported to the Sheriff’s Office at approximately 2:20 PM.  Corporal Doug Meurer responded and made contact with the parties involved.  A woman at the residence alleged that her boyfriend, 20 year old RYAN JOEL ANDERSON, had thrown a drink on her and then punched her in the nose.  When she attempted to use her phone to call for help, ANDERSON was said to have taken the phone away from her.  The 20 year old victim is pregnant and later went to the hospital to be treated for injuries, which resulted in a felony charge.

   RYAN ANDERSON was arrested and taken to the Detention Center where he was booked on charges of:

Battery in the Second Degree – Felony Interference With Emergency Communications – Misdemeanor

     ANDERSON is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond and will appear in Circuit Court on July 6th to answer the charges.
