MOUNTAIN HOME MAN ARRESTED FOR FORGERY AND THEFT

     A rural Mountain Home man, 21  year old TODD AUSTIN PLUMLEE, was arrested Tuesday afternoon, May 9th, on Forgery and Theft charges.  The Sheriff’s Office had taken a report on April 5, 2017 that two checks had been taken from a checkbook and forged for merchandise at Walmart. TODD PLUMLEE was named as the suspect.

     Evidence indicated the checks were forged and used to purchase a flat screen television and a set of headphones at Walmart for $974.28.  These items were returned to Walmart the same date for cash back.

     PLUMLEE was brought to the Sheriff’s Office yesterday where he admitted to stealing the checks, forging them, and then returning the merchandise for cash.

     TODD AUSTIN PLUMLEE was released from the Detention Center on $5,000 bond after being booked on charges of:

Forgery (2 counts) – Felonies
Theft of Property – Misdemeanor

     PLUMLEE will appear in Circuit Court to answer on June 8th.
