INVESTIGATORS ARREST MTN HOME MAN FOR BURGLARY AND THEFT

05/10/2017

Ryan Michael Kinsley

Residential Burglary and Theft charges have been filed against 24 year old RYAN MICHAEL KINSLEY following an investigation into the break-in of a home earlier this month.

On May 2, 2017, the Sheriff’s Office was called to 353 CR 608 for a break-in report.  The front door of the home had been kicked in, breaking the door jam.  Also, the garage door had been opened.  There was a shoe print left behind on the door, which was photographed to scale.  At the time of the initial report, it was undetermined what items of property might be missing.

On May 8, 2017, the homeowner discovered that his 21” Craftsman push mower was missing. RYAN KINSLEY, who had been previously been working at the property as an employee of a roofing company, was developed as a suspect after it was learned he had just come into possession of a Craftsman push mower.

Sheriff’s Investigators located KINSLEY at his home in Mountain Home and observed the mower in the carport.  The deck and cowling of the mower had been painted to alter its appearance.  Investigators asked KINSLEY to show the bottom of his shoe, which he did.  It was compared to the photograph of the shoe print taken from the door and it matched.   RYAN KINSLEY was arrested and transported to the Detention Center where he was booked on charges of:

Residential Burglary – Felony
Theft of Property – Misdemeanor
Criminal Mischief 1st Degree – Misdemeanor

KINSLEY is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center in lieu of $15,000 bond with a court appearance set for June 1st in Circuit Court.
