DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CALL LEADS TO ARREST FOR FELONY ASSAULT

02/15/2017

Christopher Wilson Packley

A Lakeview area man was arrested Tuesday evening, February 14th, when deputies responded to a domestic violence call at 804 Hickory Flats Lane in Lakeview involving shots being fired.

Deputies responded to a 911 call there at 9:06 PM and first made contact with a female.  She told deputies that she and her boyfriend, 34 year old CHRISTOPHER WILSON PACKLEY, had been arguing during the evening and that he had become very belligerent.  The argument resulted in violence.  In particular, the woman alleged that PACKLEY threatened her, choked her, and held her down on the floor for a period of time.  The female was holding her son while this was taking place.

The female was eventually able to escape from PACKLEY and fled on foot from the residence.  As she was running, she alleged that PACKLEY fired three rifle gunshots in her direction.

Deputies then made contact with CHRISTOPHER PACKLEY.  He admitted firing three rounds from the rifle, but stated he fired up in the air and not in the direction of the female.  Deputies found and seized a Sig Sauer AR-10 rifle at the scene.

CHRISTOPHER PACKLEY was ultimately arrested and taken to the Detention Center where he was booked on charges of:

Aggravated Assault on Family or Household Member – Felony
Endangering the Welfare of a Minor – Misdemeanor

PACKLEY is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond and will appear before the Circuit Court to answer on February 23, 2017.
