08/01/2016

James Thomas Weeks

A Henderson man, 33 year old JAMES THOMAS WEEKS, was arrested on July 28th on several charges during a probation home visit on CR 508 in the Midway area.

Sheriff’s Investigators and officers with the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections and Arkansas State Police arrived at the residence on CR 508 at approximately 2:30 PM.  They arrived at the same time that a gold colored passenger car, which was being driven by JAMES THOMAS WEEKS, pulled into the driveway.  As officers made contact with WEEKS, he immediately became uncooperative and refused to comply with instructions. WEEKS actively resisted officers as they moved to restrain him.

Once WEEKS was restrained, officers searched his person and found methamphetamine (approximately .6 grams) and a glass smoking pipe. WEEKS was subsequently transported to the Baxter County Detention Center and incarcerated on charges of:

Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Felony
Resisting Arrest – Misdemeanor
Disorderly Conduct – Misdemeanor

He was released later the same day after posting $5,000 bond and will appear to answer in the Circuit Court on August 4th.
