SEX OFFENDER ARRESTED FOR FAILURE TO REGISTER

07/29/2016

Chris Alan Gladney

The Sheriff’s Office has arrested 56 year old CHRIS ALAN GLADNEY on a charge of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, and he was booked into the Detention Center on July 28th.

CHRIS GLADNEY was released from the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC) on June 23, 2016 and advised ADC he would be residing at a residence in Baxter County. CHRIS GLADNEY is a sex offender and is required by law to register with the appropriate law enforcement agency within ten (10) days of his release from prison. GLADNEY did not register with the Sheriff’s Office within the time allowed by law.

GLADNEY gave ADC a false address of where he would be residing upon his release, being 230 CR 648.  Sheriff’s Deputies were not able to locate or make contact with GLADNEY at that address, but later found he was living at 345 CR 628.  A warrant was obtained for his arrest on July 18th.

CHRIS GLADNEY had been convicted in Baxter County Circuit Court in June, 2010 of two counts of Sexual Indecency With A Child and sentenced to 72 months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.  These offenses involved GLADNEY exposing himself and masturbating in public in front of children on two separate occasions.

GLADNEY is being held in lieu of $15,000 bond, and he will appear in Circuit Court to answer on August 4th.
