SEX OFFENDER MOVES BACK TO TEXAS

       The Sheriff’s Office is notifying the public that a Gamaliel area man who had registered as a Sex Offender at the Sheriff’s Office has moved out of Baxter County and back to the State of Texas.

 

NAME:                       EDWARD JOSEPH MENDLIK

 

DATE OF BIRTH:   12/03/1963

 

OLD ADDRESS:      3543 Hwy 101 N #2

                                    Gamaliel, Arkansas 72537

 

NEW ADDRESS:  16928 Hwy 1778
                               Farmersville, Texas                                 

 

     The offender plead guilty to Sexual Assault in the State of Texas on 05/07/2007.  This offense involved the offender engaging in sexual contact with a 16 year old female.

 

     (This offender had not yet been assigned a Risk Level by SOSRA (Sex Offender Screening and Risk Management).

 

     This person is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.  This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.  This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass Registered Sex Offenders.  Citizen abuse will not be tolerated.  Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement’s ability to do community notification.
