A Gassville man currently on parole, 40 year old JOSEPH ALLEN BERMINGHAM, was arrested Monday afternoon on drug paraphernalia charges after investigators conducted a home visit of the parolee at 336 Stephanie Drive in Gassville.

The home visit was precipitated by the fact that an individual cooperating with law enforcement had made controlled buys of several grams of methamphetamine from another person residing at this same residence.

During the home visit, investigators found a set of digital scales that contained methamphetamine residue.  JOSEPH BERMINGHAM was arrested and taken to the Detention Center on a charge of:

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Felony

He is being held in lieu of $3,000 bond on this charge with an appearance in Circuit Court set for February 4th.  He is also being held without bond for violating his parole.

Agencies participating in the home visit and subsequent arrest were the Sheriff's Office, Gassville Police Department, 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Arkansas Department of Community Corrections, and the Mountain Home Police Department.
