On December 8th, Deputy Mike Holland received a complaint of a possible unregistered sex offender residing at an address in Baxter County.

During the investigation it was determined that the suspect had moved to Baxter County from Bald Knob, Arkansas, to an address in the Buford Area off of Hwy 126, West of Mountain Home on or about November 9th and had not notified Bald Knob or Baxter County Authorities.  It was also determined he had be evicted from that residence on or about November 29th.

On Wednesday, December 16, the Sheriff’s Office received information from a concerned citizen that the suspect was located at a residence in Cotter, Arkansas. Deputy Holland found the suspect at this residence and took him into custody without incident.

Gary Dale Robertson, age 46 was arrested and charged with:

Failure to Register as a Sex Offender     Class C Felony

Robertson was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center and is currently being held on a $15,000 bond pending his appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court on January 7, 2016 at 9 am.
