As part of an ongoing investigation into narcotics activity in the area, officers from four agencies served a search warrant at the residence at 33 Fletcher Street in rural Mountain Home on September 24th.

During the course of the search, officers found approximately 19 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 3 grams of marijuana, several pills identified as Xanax and Carisoprodol, and various articles of drug paraphernalia. The residence was within 1,000 feet of a church, thereby allowing for a penalty enhancement.

One man, 43 year old JONATHAN WESLEY HARIG of that residence, was arrested and taken into custody. He was transported to the Detention Center and booked on charges of:

Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose of Delivery – Felony
Possession of Schedule IV controlled substance (2 counts) – Misdemeanors
Possession of Schedule VI controlled substance – Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts) – Felonies
Proximity to Certain Facilities – Penalty Enhancement

HARIG was released from custody after posting bond in the amount of $25,000. He will appear in Circuit Court to answer on October 1st.

Agencies participating in the investigation, search, and arrest were the Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas State Police, 14th Judicial Drug Task Force, and the Mountain Home Police Dept.
