The Sheriff’s Office was called to an apparent suicide this morning at Big Flat. At approximately 4:39 AM, the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a self-inflicted gunshot incident at 206 Shelton Lane in Big Flat.

     Upon the arrival of first responders, 65 year old BOB G. HARRINGTON of that address was found to be deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest. He was on the telephone with another party when this occurred, according to investigators.

     The Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office responded, as did the Big Flat Volunteer Fire Department. There was no evidence of foul play indicated.
