MAN ARRESTED FOR METH POSSESSION DURING TRAFFIC STOP

     The Sheriff’s Office arrested a Mountain Home man, 20 year old SHON DAVID THURMAN, early Wednesday morning, May 13th.  Sheriff’s Deputy Rockie Morrell conducted a traffic stop for a minor equipment violation on a motor vehicle that SHON THURMAN was a passenger in.

     The operator of the vehicle gave consent to search the vehicle for contraband.  During the subsequent search, officers found approximately 0.8 grams of methamphetamine adjacent to where passenger SHON THURMAN had been seated, as well as material commonly used to package methamphetamine for distribution. 

     SHON THURMAN was arrested and transported to the Detention Center on charges of:

Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose of Delivery – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Felony.

     Bond for THURMAN is $5,000, and he will appear in Circuit Court on June 28th.
