03/03/2015

Kyla Lani May

The Sheriff’s Office arrested 23 year old KYLA LANI MAY of Mountain Home this morning after receiving a complaint call at approximately 9:54 AM reporting a person being slumped over the steering wheel of a parked vehicle at the intersection of Hwy 5 N. and Canvassback Drive.

Sheriff’s Sergeant Brian Davis was dispatched to investigate.  When he arrived, he found a white Ford Escape with a female, later identified as KYLA MAY, passed out behind the wheel.  Sergeant Davis also observed a green container in her lap that contained a syringe and a small baggie holding a crystal substance suspected to be methamphetamine.  Upon her being revived, KYLA MAY was very disoriented, and EMS was summoned to check on her physical condition.

Upon further examination, the substances observed by Sergeant Davis were determined to be approximately 2.8 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, including a syringe, a bent spoon, and small plastic baggies commonly used to package drugs.

KYLA MAY was ultimately transported to the Baxter County Detention Center where she was booked on charges of:

Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose of Delivery – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Felony

MAY is currently being held in lieu of bond and will appear in Circuit Court on March 12th.
