Ben Gary Dacus
A Baxter County man, 29 year old BEN GARY DACUS, has again been arrested on felony drug charges after the Sheriff’s Office responded today to a complaint on Baxter CR 625 of a man slumped over the wheel of a pickup truck. DACUS admitted to Deputy Gonten that the syringe contained methamphetamine, at which point DACUS was taken into custody.
A subsequent search of DACUS and his vehicle uncovered additional drugs and drug paraphernalia, including .4 grams of methamphetamine, 3 hydrocodone pills, numerous syringes, a digital scale, 2 glass pipes, and other paraphernalia. In addition, Deputy Gonten found a loaded Marlin model 60 .22 cal pistol in the vehicle.
BEN GARY DACUS was transported to the Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond on charges of:
Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms – Class Y Felony
Possession of Methamphetamine – Class D Felony
