SEX OFFENDER ARRESTED FOR FAILURE TO REGISTER

     A Baxter County Sex Offender was arrested this morning for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.  CHAD VINCENT DOUGLAS, 26 years of age and a Level 3 (high risk to re-offend) sex offender, turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding bench warrant issued March 28th for Failure to Register, a felony.  At the time of his booking today, DOUGLAS gave an address on Gray Street in Mountain Home, but this has not been confirmed.

     Sheriff’s Investigators obtained the bench warrant after they confirmed CHAD DOUGLAS was not living at the address he had reported on Boland Drive in the Henderson area.  According to a neighbor, DOUGLAS had not lived there in the past month when Investigators looked for him there on March 21st

     CHAD VINCENT DOUGLAS is being held in lieu of $15,000 bond, and he will appear in Circuit Court on June 20th.
