ARREST MADE FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

     Felony child pornography charges have been filed against a rural Mountain Home man following an investigation that was initiated on May 19th.

     Sheriff’s Deputy Tracy Munson responded to a complaint call at 2058 Highway 5 South #8 on May 19th.  He took a report from two persons at the residence who informed him that they had discovered suspected child pornography on a computer belonging to another person who was not there.  This computer was turned over to deputies for forensic examination at a later time.

     On May 22nd, the suspect came to the Sheriff’s Office.  Investigators attempted to interview him, but he would not answer questions.  Later that day, a search warrants were obtained on the computer, an external hard drive, and a flash drive.  The search uncovered digital images of nude young girls in various poses.  These young girls appeared to be pre-pubescent and very young. 

     Sheriff’s Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect, and he was arrested today.

     WILLIAM G. ELY, 47 years of age, was booked into the Detention Center this morning on a felony charge of Distributing, Possessing, or Viewing Child Pornography.  He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond with an appearance in Circuit Court set for June 21st.
