05/30/2012

James Patrick Grover

On Tuesday, May 29th, Sheriff’s Corporal Edward Elliott responded to a domestic disturbance at 3492 CR 36.  On arrival, the victim told Corporal Elliott that she had previously been threatened by her husband, and she played an audio recording of the purported threat made by him.

In addition, the victim stated there were firearms in the residence and that her husband was a felon, thereby making it unlawful for him to possess a firearm.  The victim showed Corporal Elliott the whereabouts of two .25 caliber handguns and a .16 gauge shotgun.

Corporal Elliott confirmed that the man was a convicted felon from the Superior Court in Farmington, Maine..  He was then taken into custody on the firearms charge.

JAMES PATRICK GROVER, 41 years old of 3492 CR 36 in Clarkridge, was booked into the Detention Center on a felony charge of Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons.  He was released after posting bond in the amount of $2,500 and was given a Circuit Court date of June 21st.
