FELONY DOMESTIC BATTERY CHARGE FILED AGAINST MIDWAY MAN

05/04/2012

Pete Allen Terwilleger

A Midway man, already on Parole from the Arkansas Department of Corrections, was arrested early Friday morning on a felony domestic battery charge after Sheriff’s deputies answered a call to check on the welfare of a female residing with this man.

Sergeant Mike Holland and Deputy Brian Davis responded to 6494 Highway 5 North in Midway on this service call at approximately 11:27 PM on May 3rd .  There they found a female victim who was bloodied and had significant serious injuries to her person.  An ambulance from Baxter Regional Medical Center was called to the residence.  The victim eventually told deputies that her boyfriend, 41 year old PETE ALLEN TERWILLEGER, had assaulted her inside the residence.

Deputies located PETE ALLEN TERWILLEGER back at the residence several hours later and took him into custody at approximately 3:20 AM this morning after he attempted to flee out the back door of the home.  The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by a Gassville Police Officer, who was bitten by TERWILLEGER’s dog during the incident.

PETE ALLEN TERWILLEGER was taken to the Detention Center and booked in on a felony charge of Domestic Battery in the Second Degree with bond set at $25,000.  He is also being held on a Parole Violation.  He will appear in Circuit Court on May 24th
