04/16/2012

Jessie Dominique Moore

Drug possession charges were filed against a rural Mountain Home woman after the vehicle she was a passenger in was pulled over for erratic driving this weekend and drugs were discovered in her possession.

On Friday evening, April 13th, Sheriff’s Deputy Rockie Morrell pulled over a vehicle on State Highway 342 due to erratic driving he observed and for suspicion of no liability insurance coverage after running the vehicle license for a registration check.

The vehicle was occupied by a man and woman.  Upon approaching the vehicle, Deputy Morrell detected an odor of burned marijuana.  Deputy Morrell conducted a search of the vehicle upon consent and later of the female’s purse.   On the passenger side of the vehicle where the female had been seated, Deputy Morrell found a pack of “Kool” cigarettes.  Inside this package was a plastic baggy containing suspected marijuana and a smoking pipe.  The female, identified as 30 year old JESSIE DOMINIQUE MOORE of rural Mountain Home, was arrested upon that discovery.  Nothing further was found inside the vehicle, and the male was released.

Upon arrival at the Detention Center with Ms. MOORE, Deputy Morrell went through her purse and discovered a pill bottle with the label scratched out.  Inside were found 35 Diazepam 10 mg pills, 1 Diazepam 1mg pill, 13 Alprazolam 1mg pills, 8 Carisoprodo 350mg pills, and 3 Methylphenidate Hydrochloride 10mg pills. Ms. MOORE did not have a prescription for any of these substances.

JESSIE DOMINIQUE MOORE was charged with:

Possession of Controlled Substance – Class D Felony
Possession of Controlled Substance (5 counts) – Class A Misdemeanors
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Class A Misdemeanor
Disorderly Conduct – Class C Misdemeanor

MOORE was released from custody after posting bond in the amount of $1,740.00.  She will appear in court on May 10, 2012.
