Update- Preliminary Autopsy Report Back on Jordan Man

UPDATE:  03/16/2012:

    The Sheriff's Office has received notification from the Arkansas State Medical Examiner's Office in Little Rock that the prelinary autopy results indicate that 54 year old Randy Edgar Parnell of Jordan died of natural causes.  His unattended death had been reported and investigated on March 9th, with the notation that his body would be sent for autopsy.

 

ORIGINAL RELEASE BELOW 03/10/2012:

On March 9, at approximately 5:45 pm, the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call at 148 White Tail Lane in the Jordan, Arkansas, to a report of a deceased male.   Three of the victim’s relatives had gone to check on the victim and found him lying in a back bedroom floor and called 911. 

     Investigator Trey Edings responded to the scene to begin the preliminary investigation.  The Deputy Coroner arrived and pronounced the victim deceased.    Preliminary investigation  reveals the victim was last seen on March 8 at approximately 11 am by another relative.  It is also believed by investigators that there may have been at least two other people at the residence during the time in question. 

     Due to the evidence at the scene and the victim’s prior medical condition, no foul play is suspected however the body of the victim, 54 year old Randy Edgar Parnell, of Jordan, is being sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause and manner of death. 

The investigation is continuing.
