SEX OFFENDER ARRESTED FOR MOVING WITHOUT NOTIFYING AUTHORITIES

03/06/2012

Vincent Lee Hatfield

A Level 1 sex offender (low risk to re-offend) was arrested today for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.  VINCENT LEE HATFIELD, 25 year of age, had previously registered with the Sheriff’s Office stating he was residing in the Gamaliel area.

As of February 28, 2012, the Sheriff’s Office had received several reports indicating that HATFIELD was no longer living at his reported address in Gamaliel.  HATFIELD was said to then be staying at an apartment complex in Mountain Home, which was confirmed by investigators.  HATFIELD did not inform the Sheriff’s Office that he had moved, nor had he registered with the Mountain Home Police Department.  Investigators obtained a warrant for HATFIELD.

Today, VINCENT LEE HATFIELD turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office, and the warrant was served on him.  He was taken to the Detention Center and booked in on a felony charge of Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.  He is being held on $15,000 bond, and he is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court on March 15th.
