A probation home check this afternoon at the Midway Oaks Apartments in Midway has landed two people in jail on drug charges.  Sheriff’s Investigator Trey Edings accompanied a Probation Officer from the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections to help conduct a home visit on 29 year old probationer Marcus Wayne Hill at his residence.

Officers located Mr. Hill, as well as 21 year old Brittany Nichole Saunders, at this address.  During the course of the visit, officers found plastic baggies with methamphetamine residue and K-2 residue.  A small amount of K-2 (synthetic marijuana) was also found.

Marcus Wayne Hill and Brittany Nichole Saunders were both arrested at the location and taken to the Detention Center.  They have both been charged with:

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Felony
Possession of K2 Schedule VI Controlled Substance – Misdemeanor

Bond for both Hill and Saunders was set at $2,500.  They will appear next month in Baxter County Circuit Court.
