38 Year Old Gamaliel Man Charged with Terroristic Threatening

     A 38 year old Gamaliel man was arrested this afternoon and charged with two felony counts.  The arrest came after an investigation by Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators following a complaint by the suspect’s mother.

     At approximately 2:35 pm, the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in the Gamaliel area.  The suspect, 38 year old Mark Walter Frankowitz, is currently living with his mother on CR 242, off of Fout Road.  Frankowitz had been acting aggressive the past few days and today, threatened to kill his mother.

     Deputies took Frankowitz into custody without incident.  During the arrest, deputies discovered four (4) rifles, three (3) shotguns and a 22 caliber pistol in his bedroom.  Two of the weapons were loaded.

Mark Walter Frankowitz is charged with:

Terroristic Threatening                    Class D Felony
Felon in Possession of a Firearm    Class D Felony

Frankowitz bond was set at $10,000 pending his appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court.

Frankowitz was convicted of 2nd Degree Burglary on November 2007 in Jackson County, Missouri.
