SEX OFFENDER PHILLIP WILCOXON ARRESTED IN MISSOURI ON BAXTER COUNTY WARRANTS

     PHILLIP ROY WILCOXON, 35 years of age, has been arrested by the Sheriff’s Office in Lincoln County, Missouri on outstanding warrants from Baxter County, one of which was a on a felony charge of Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.

     WILCOXON was previously registered with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office as a Level 2 sex offender due to the fact he was convicted of two counts of Rape on 12/02/1994.  These offenses involved the offender engaging in sexual activity with a 13 year old female. 

     The Sheriff’s Office determined around November 19th that WILCOXON was no longer living at the address he had provided when he registered in Baxter County, and his whereabouts became unknown to law enforcement.  Sheriff’s Investigators then procured a warrant of arrest for WILCOXON for Failure to Register, and WILCOXON was placed on the “Most Wanted” page of the Sheriff’s Office web site.

     This week, Sheriff’s Investigators received a tip from a citizen who observed on the web site that WILCOXON was wanted and provided Investigators with information as to his present location in Missouri.  This information was relayed to the Lincoln County, Missouri Sheriff’s Office with a request for their assistance in locating WILCOXON.  Lincoln County authorities were able to find WILCOXON at the reported location, and he was taken into custody on the Baxter County warrants.  WILCOXON is currently in custody in Lincoln County, Missouri.  His Baxter County warrants are for:

 

  1.     Failure to Register as Sex Offender – Felony
  2.     Failure to Appear in Court on Theft charge – Misdemeanor.

     His bond on Baxter County criminal warrants is $15,590.00.  WILCOXON also has a civil Body Attachment for Non-Payment of Child Support with bond of $7,519.00.  In addition, the State of Missouri plans to charge WILCOXON with failure to register in that state as well.  He will be extradited back to Baxter County once the Missouri charges are adjudicated.
