12/01/2011

        Joel C. Dollar

A rural Mountain Home man, 31 year old JOEL C. DOLLAR, was arrested on November 28th for desertion from the army by Sheriff’s Sergeant Andy Bower after he responded to a domestic disturbance between DOLLAR and his wife.

Sergeant Bower was dispatched to 54 Tall Oaks Ln at approximately 9:00 AM on the disturbance call.  As part of his investigation, Sergeant Bower conducted a wants/warrants check on JOEL C. DOLLAR through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) network.  The return indicated that DOLLAR was listed as an active deserter from the United States Army.  The entry was confirmed by contact with army personnel, and DOLLAR was taken into custody.  He was transported to the Detention Center and held awaiting pick up by military authorities.  This morning, military police arrived at the Detention Center and took DOLLAR into custody.

Documents indicated that DOLLAR deserted approximately one year ago.
