05/12/2011

On May 11, 2011 at approximately 1:23 pm, Baxter County Deputies responded to a 911 call at the Midway Oaks Trailer Park, in Midway, Arkansas. The caller stated two men broke in the door and assaulted him and then left in a Gray Jeep Cherokee.

While Deputy William Altazan was talking with the victim, a second 911 call was received that that a gray Jeep Cherokee had pulled around behind a residence at that Cedar Hills Mobile Home Park and two men were seen crawling through a window at that residence. Cedar Hills Mobile Home Park is located a few miles West of Midway.

Deputies and Investigators arrived at Cedar Hills and were able to locate the Renter of the home. Deputes entered the home and found a male and female in the residence. Both claimed they were the only ones in the residence. A search of the residence located a third suspect hiding under a bed. A cell phone that belonged to the victim was located at the residence. The handbag of one of the suspects was also located and Investigators found drug paraphernalia, new and used syringes, suspected K2, marijuana, and suspected Heroin inside. All three were taken into custody and transported to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office

Investigators were able to determine that the three suspects drove to the victim's home and struck and keyed the victim's vehicle causing damage to the vehicle. The suspects then broke open the front door to the victim's home, pushed his three year old son away and then the two male suspects began striking the victim about his head and face. The victim's roommate came into the room and the suspect's fled in the Gray Jeep Cherokee. The suspects drove to the home at Cedar Hills and broke into the residence to hide from authorities. The renter at Cedar Hills declned to press charges on the suspects.  The Burglary charges stem from the Assault at the home in Midway Oaks.  The victim was injured but refused medical treatment.
