SHUNN STEPHENS ARRESTED ONCE AGAIN FOR VIOLATING NO CONTACT ORDER

05/09/2011

For the fourth time since August, 2010, 21 year old SHUNN DEWAYNE STEPHENS has been jailed and charged with Violating a No Contact Order issued by the District Court.  STEPHENS was last arrested on February 3, 2011 on that charge and others, and was just released from custody on April 29, 2011 after serving 86 days in the county jail.

On Saturday, May 7th at approximately 11:21 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies William Altazan and Robert Recktenwald were dispatched to an address on Windancer Circle in rural Baxter County in response to a complaint that someone was believed to be in the attic of the house.  Prior to arrival, it was reported by the caller that it was SHUNN STEPHENS who was at the residence in violation of a No Contact Order.

Deputies arrived at the address at 11:29 PM and observed STEPHENS on the front porch of the residence.  STEPHENS fled on foot from deputies into a nearby wooded area.  Deputies gave chase and apprehended STEPHENS about 10 minute later.

SHUNN STEPHENS was transported to the County Jail and incarcerated on charges of:

Violation of a No Contact Order – Misdemeanor
Fleeing from an Officer – Misdemeanor
                        Criminal Trespass/Premises – Misdemeanor

STEPHENS was held without bond pending an appearance in Baxter County District Court this morning.        Jail booking records indicate this is the eighth charge of Violating a No Contact Order that has been filed against STEPHENS in Baxter County.
