Baxter County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 38 year old Jennifer Robin Kornegay of Mountain Home on a warrant for Forgery and Theft. She was arrested at her home on Ridgecrest Street in Mountain Home without incident.

The warrant was issued after an investigation by Baxter County Criminal Investigator Drayton McDaniel. On April 11, 2011, a unknown female pumped $21.28 of fuel at the Pronto Convenience Store on US Highway 62/412, just East of Mountain Home. The suspect presented a check to the clerk for $100 and attempted to obtain change back from the purchase.. The clerk became suspicious and refused to take the check. The suspect then left quickly taking the check with her.

After contacting the victim, it was determined there were other checks that had been stolen as well. Jennifer Kornegay was developed as a suspect and was later identified by a photo lineup as the one who attempted to pass the check.

Jennifer Robin Kornegay is charged with:

Forgery                      Class C Felony
