8 year old found safe after 2 hour search

At approximately 9:27 pm, an a 8 year old boy who authorities had been searching for approximately 2 hours has been found safe.

Authorities learned that the boy had gone to church with neighbors. Further investigation by Deputies revealed that the neighbors had stopped by and talked with the father and received permission to take the boy to church.

The boy's legal name was Bryan Parker but was incorrectly identified to authorities by the father. The father, who was extremely intoxicated, called 911 and falsely reported his son missing.

The father, 45 year old William Anthony Nash, was arrested and charged with filing a false police report. He was so intoxicated he was taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center where he became uncooperative and recieved a second charge of Disorderly Conduct.

William Anthony Nash is currently being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on bond of $500 pending his arraignment in Baxter County District Court on April 14th at 9 am.

The 8 year old boy was turned over to the Arkansas Department of Human Services.

Approximately 15 officers from Baxter County, Arkansas State Police and Arkansas Department of Corrections assisted in the search.
