Preliminary Autopsy Results Released on December 24th Shooting Victims

     Thursday, December 30, 2010 at approximately 1 pm, the Baxter County Sheriff's Office received preliminary autopsy results on the three victims that found deceased at a residence on Forest Hills Drive, East of Mountain Home, on December 24, 2010.

     The Sheriff's Office wants to emphasize the results from the Arkansas State Crime Lab are preliminary and the final results will not be released for several months. The Medical Examiner's Preliminary Report shows:

Victim one (1), Louise Svensson, age 56, Cause of death: single gunshot wound to the head. Manner of death: Homicide

Victim two (2), Victor A. Robles, age 20, Cause of death: three gunshot wounds, single gunshot wound to the right arm, single gunshot wound to the right side of the back, and a single gunshot wound to the top of the head. Manner of death: Homicide

Victim three (3), Harry D. Svensson, age 52, Cause of death: single gunshot wound to the head. Manner of death: Suicide

     Based upon the Investigation, the evidence at the scene and the preliminary autopsy results, Investigators believe that Harry Svensson first shot and killed his wife, Louise Svensson. She was found in the floor of the master bedroom. A second bullet was recovered from the master bedroom area. It is also believed Mr. Svensson then shot and killed her son, Victor Robles. He was found in the floor of the guest bedroom with multiple gunshot wounds.

     Harry Svensson was found on the bed in the master bedroom with a 5-shot Ruger 357 Magnum Revolver. He had a single gunshot wound to the head. Investigators believe that Mr. Svensson, in the process of shooting the victims, shot five times. He then went to the Master Bedroom Closet, unloaded the empty Shell Casings and reloaded the revolver with 5 more live rounds. Mr. Svensson then sat on the edge of the bed and shot and killed himself.

     The exact time of death has not been determined however Investigators believe the shooting incident took place sometime late Wednesday evening, the 22nd of December. At this time investigators have been unable to establish a motive to the shootings. The investigation is continuing.

     At approximately 9:01 AM Friday, December 24, 2010, Baxter County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting that a woman was observed to be lying on the floor in a pool of blood inside the residence at 124 Forest Hills Dr., which is in the Robinson Point area of Lake Norfork, East of Mountain Home. The caller had been unable to reach the occupants and was attempting to check their welfare.

     Sheriff's Deputies and an officer with the Arkansas State Police arrived at the residence at approximately 9:11 AM to investigate. Deputies had to force entry into the residence through the locked front door to gain access. Once inside the residence, Deputies discovered three bodies, each of which appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds. The preliminary investigation determined that the three persons were a man and his wife, who lived at the residence, as well as her son, who was visiting from out of state.
